The development team at Factory Entertainment were able to borrow an original screen-used prop that was carefully studied, and a direct casting was taken to ensure accuracy. When studying the original prop it was made from lightweight material that looked like metal but was not actually metal. This was for practical purposes and in the on-screen world creates an entirely convincing illusion.
However, each Factory Entertainment replica is crafted from actual metal to give it a heavy and suitable regal feel in the off-screen world. Each replica is then finished in a lustrous gold effect metal and has inset reproduction gemstones.
The replica includes a specially designed iron sword motif display stand, which allows the replica to rest on the hilts of four swords. A numbered limited edition, each replica includes an individually numbered plaque medallion cast in metal and is presented in a full-color box with a certificate of authenticity.
