In 1999, Star Wars: Episode I was broadcast in theaters. "The Phantom Menace" is about the efforts to settle a conflict between the remote planet of Naboo and the Trade Federation. In the course of the plot, two Jedi are forced to land on the desert planet of Tatooine. There they meet young Anakin Skywalker, in whom enormous potential lies dormant and raises hopes of having found a possible, very powerful Jedi. To free the young Skywalker from slavery, he must first win a race in which it is a matter of life and death. Anakin uses a podracer for this race, which he has built himself from the stock of sorted out components of a scrap dealer. The heart of the high-performance racing machine is in the front-mounted turbines, which pull the pilot area along with them. The braking effect of the three moving blades in the front allows a fast-paced flight even in tight turns. Anakin's own creation, which can reach speeds of up to 947 km/h, is quite small and not very robust, but it has high maneuverability and top speed.
