This 1/12 scale model kit of the protocol droid C-3PO contains 138 parts. Like all figure model kits from Bandai, this kit is designed with articulated head, arms, hands, waist, hips, knees and feet.
The kit contains a lot of optional and alternate parts allowing the construction of one of the many variants of C-3PO seen in Star Wars Episodes IV - VI. It also contains a stackable base.
The parts are molded in different colors (black, red, clear), which makes painting expendable. Special feature: Most of the parts are golden chrome-plated, making the final figure an extremely nice collector's item!
The parts are fitting so exactly that use of glue is not necessary; small parts should be glued in position, however, in order to prevent losing them. Since common glues affect the chrome plating, a glue compatible with chrome-plated parts like Contacta Liquid Special from Revell is recommended.
Two identical decal sheets are enclosed, water-sliding (delicate but very thin) and self-adhesive (easier to apply). The model kit contains some very filigree parts. Because of the high accuracy of fit it is suitable for beginners and pros alike. In comparison with conventional model kits, this kit can be built in a very short time span.
Model kits from Bandai contain a manual in Japanese language only, but the manual contains a lot of self-explanatory images which makes the build-up unproblematic.
